The Koinobori Tattoo Carp draws its inspiration from the Koi carp, a fish that embodies strength and perseverance. Fearlessly swimming against the currents, the Koi signifies courage and determination, successfully navigating long distances and waterfalls, imparting a lesson in bravery.
The Koinobori Tattoo Carp holds a prominent place within Madame Mo. It celebrates powerful virtues: Strength, Perseverance, Success, Courage, Wisdom, and Determination. Offering a Koinobori Tattoo Koi is more than gifting a mere talisman; it is conveying the beauty of these symbols while sharing the values of bravery, inner strength, and success with your loved ones. In Japan, this talisman is traditionally presented to children during Kodomo No Hi, on the 5th of May each year!

The tradition of Koinobori originates from a Chinese legend, recounting that every third moon in the lunar calendar, during the peach blossom season when the Yellow River begins to thaw, Koi carp begin their journey upstream from the East China Sea to Longmen, the "Dragon's Gate." Here, the Celestial Emperor organized a competition among the carp gathered at the foot of the majestic waterfall. Those who managed to pass through the gate transformed into dragons, while others had to return to the sea and attempt again the following year.
